JOHN HUGHES RETURNS TO CNB WAXAHACHIE

Waxahachie, TX October 3rd, 2011 - Waxahachie native, John Hughes, was recently named as the Branch Manager of the Citizens National Bank of Texas Uptown location.
“I’m very excited about returning to my hometown and getting to work with all the CNB Uptown customers and employees,” commented John Hughes, assistance vice president, branch manager of CNB Uptown. “Since starting at the bank, I have wanted to work in Waxahachie and give back to the community that has given me so much.”
After earning a Marketing degree from University of Texas at Arlington, Hughes started with the bank in 2002 as a personal banker. Since joining CNB, Hughes has worked in various locations and positions, most recently as the branch manager of the Cedar Hill location and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2011.
“John not only brings a love for Waxahachie to the bank, but he also brings a strong work ethic and a commitment to serving our customers,” commented Cindy Smith, EVP and branch administrator of CNB of Texas. “He is one of those employees that I know will be a lifelong member of the CNB family.”
John is married to Hollye Hughes who is a teacher at WISD, and they have two children. The Hugheses are active members of the community and John is a member of the Rotary Club in Cedar Hill. While in the Cedar Hill Rotary Club, he served as President from 2006-2007.
“I’m looking forward to seeing all the familiar faces that I have known all my life and meeting all the new families moving to Waxahachie. Working at CNB has taught me the importance of giving back to the community, and I plan to get started in Waxahachie right way,” said Hughes.
