YOMI FAYIGA JOINS THE CNB OF TEXAS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Waxahachie, TX, January 7, 2011 – The Board of Directors, officers and staff of Citizens National Bank of Texas are proud to announce that Yomi Fayiga has joined the bank’s board of directors.
“Yomi has been a vital part of the medical community, active in civic organizations and a successful business owner. We welcome his strong business sense and love of the community to our board of directors and to the bank,” says George Singleton, chairman of the board of directors.
“I am truly honored and humbled to be asked to join the CNB board of directors. I have tremendous respect for the current board members and for the late Bill Pearman, who served on the board for many years,” commented Fayiga.
Before starting Ellis County Surgical Associates in 1996, Fayiga received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center of Dallas, where he is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery. He obtained his Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at the Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas.
Dr. Fayiga is married to Siyan Fayiga and they have three children, Tobi, Teni and Temi. The Fayiga’s are a member of the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church and attend Waxahachie Bible Church locally. He is a member of the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce and helped coach Waxahachie Youth Baseball and Upwards Basketball. Currently, Fayiga serves as the Chairman of the Surgery Center of Waxahachie, is a past board member of the Waxahachie Preparatory Academy and served on various committees at the Baylor Medical Center of Waxahachie.
“Since joining the board, I have spent time learning about the role of a bank director. I will do my utmost to protect the assets of the bank and its customers and help operate the bank in a safe and sound manner. CNB is a financially strong bank and I plan to help keep it that way,” commented Fayiga.
“Professionally and personally, Yomi is an outstanding individual of high moral character. He embodies the spirit of CNB and Ellis County. We are thrilled to add his expertise to the bank. Along with the other board of directors, he will help in steering the bank for many years to come,” exclaims Mark Singleton, president and CEO.
