CNB OF TEXAS GIVES BACK $101,000 THROUGH THEIR QUARTER BACK PROGRAM
For Immediate Release
9/1/2010
In the first year of the Citizens National Bank of Texas Quarter Back Program, CNB and its customers have been able to donate over $101,000 to area schools.
“We have been very pleased with the success of the program after one year,” says Mark Singleton, president and CEO of CNB of Texas. “Many of the schools and PTO’s that have received funds have used the money to hold events and purchase supplies and equipment for the classroom and extracurricular activities.
CNB has always been a strong supporter of schools and the communities we serve,” commented Singleton. “The Quarter Back Program allows us to partner with our customers to make an even greater impact.
Quarter Back donations are derived entirely by interchange fees the bank earns when customers use their debit card. Instead of retaining those earnings, we have decided to let our customers direct those funds towards the schools and organizations of their choice,” adds Singleton.
Three times each year, the bank will take the average debit card usage over a four month period and give 25 cents for each credit or signature based transaction over $25 to the designated school or organization.
“Signing up for the program is easy. Simply call or come into any CNB of Texas location. If you want to increase your school’s donation, invite people to designate your school or organization to receive funds, use your CNB debit card for purchases of $25 or more, and run your card as a credit.
If your bank doesn’t offer products and services that give back to schools and the community, switch to CNB so you too can be a part of the Quarter Back Program and make an impact in education. If you are banking with CNB, invite your family and friends to be a part of a bank that strives to make Ellis County a better place to live and do business,” adds Singleton.
