Red Oak, TX – On Saturday, July 3rd, Red Oak celebrated America’s Independence Day with a firework show that lit up the sky sponsored by Citizens National Bank of Texas and the City of Red Oak.
“This is the third consecutive year that we have participated in sponsoring the fireworks for the Red Oak community. As a community bank, we always want to help provide entertainment that brings families and the town together,” commented Nanette Paghi, senior vice president of Citizens National Bank of Texas.
Throughout Red Oak, families and friends gathered for an evening of celebration by cooking out and watching the fireworks. From the smiles on the children’s faces to the laughter heard in town, one can tell that the citizens are very appreciative of all the hard work that goes into making this an enjoyable evening.
The event is made possible not only through the benevolence of CNB, but also with the support of the City, along with the Red Oak Fire Department and Police Department. As well as Atlas Enterprises, the company that supplies and oversees the launching of the fireworks.
“We are very thankful for the involvement from all of these groups. CNB takes pride in being a hometown bank and proudly gives back to the communities we serve. We are always looking for ways to partner with the City to build a stronger community. Our philosophy is to reinvest in the area whether it is by sponsoring the fireworks, through our Quarter Back Program or volunteering with local organizations.” added Paghi.
Citizens National Bank of Texas, founded in 1868, has donated over $21,000 to the Red Oak community in 2010. In 2009, the bank donated $97, 000 to assist Red Oak ISD in purchasing new scoreboards for the softball and baseball fields and the new gymnasium.
