CNB OF TEXAS GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THEIR QUARTER BACK PROGRAM

For Immediate Release

10/26/2009

Waxahachie, TX, October 16, 2009 - CNB of Texas is now offering the Quarter Back Program with the goal of donating funds to the school district of their customers’ choice.

“Every year our bank donates tens of thousands of dollars to school districts in the cities we serve. That is what we are suppose to do as a community bank. This year we are going to donate even more through our Quarter Back Program,” said Mark Singleton, president and CEO of Citizens National Bank of Texas.

To kick-off the Quarter Bank Program, Citizens National Bank of Texas made a contribution to the Independent School Districts in their market area totaling $25,000.  The next donation to the schools will be made in January, 2010.

Three times each year, the bank will take the average debit card usage over a four month period and give 25 cents for each credit or signature based transaction over $25 to the designated ISD.

“Even if customers only use their cards enough to generate a $10.00 donation in any given period, if you add that contribution to the thousands of CNB of Texas customers participating in the Quarter Bank Program, school districts can receive large donations three times each year,” said Singleton. “The donations are derived entirely by fees that would generally be retained by the bank; however, instead of putting the money in our pockets we have decided to let our customers direct those funds to the school district of their choice.”

“The procedure to participate in the Quarter Bank Program is easy,” Singleton continued. “If you have a CNB of Texas Debit Card all you have to do is call or come into any location and tell us which school district you would like to designate to receive the funds. That’s it.”
